During all the late nights we spent building Maine’s first organic distillery and restoring the red barn on Route One in Newcastle that became our brand's home, we dreamed of throwing open the doors to welcome friends inside. We finally got that chance on July 1 when Split Rock Distillery opened to the public. Lucky guests toured the copper still, sampled authentic grain-to-glass spirits in the rustic tasting room, and celebrated our achievement. And ever since Split Rock has opened at noon seven days a week (and that won't change this fall). You can find one of us, Matt or Topher, behind the bar—and our handcrafted organic spirits (Whiskey, Vodka, Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka, and Horseradish Vodka) which are also now in Whole Foods and other Maine markets and restaurants.
